There is a lot of hurt in this world. Part of what I love about art is having the ability to potentially ease some of that hurt. This character I designed is the offspring of two other characters of mine. She is biracial which, for some reason, can be cause for hate. She has a skin condition called vitiligo. This loss of skin pigmentation carries no health problems aside from the psychological–feeling depressed about the way you look because of the way others treat you. That hurts my heart.
